::HOT from Koch:: Josh Hansen Gears Up for AMA Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY– Top motocross rider and two-time X-Games champion Josh Hansen prepares to end the season with a bang when he races the Monster Energy AMA Salt Lake City Supercross on May 1 at 7 p.m., the final race for the West Region.

26-year-old Hansen is known in the racing world as the bad boy of motocross, boasting smooth style inherited from his famous dad, champion rider Donnie Hansen, and possessing a laidback attitude that hardly hints at the fact that he has been racing professionally since high school. When Hansen won X Games 14 in 2008 as the underdog, everyone thought it was a fluke. But when he took home the gold again the following year, it became clear that Josh Hansen was here to stay.

Fans were excited when it was announced in January that Mitch Payton had selected Hansen to ride the West Region for Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki this year, following his hiatus from racing in 2009. Regarded as one of a handful of riders with the ability to win a West Regional race, Hansen boasts several top-five placings thus far, and is confident he can earn that elusive podium finish before the season’s end by harnessing the power and speed he has displayed during heat races and channeling it into the main event.

His ultimate goal this year is to surprise fans with a win at the East/West Shootout in Las Vegas on May 8, right before he rakes in another X Games victory in August – a feat that fans know Hansen is more than capable of.

Eileen Talks to CNN About Sandra's Secret Adoption

CNN's Breanna Hare called Eileen again this morning to get her opinion on another high-profile happening in the entertainment world-- Sandra Bullock's adoption. CNN wanted to look into how and why Sandra kept her baby, Louis, a secret for months.

Read the article to see what Eileen had to say about Sandra opting for privacy:

How Sandra Bullock kept a baby a secret

By Breeanna Hare

(CNN) -- Sandra Bullock has Oscar-winning talent, but it took more than just being a good actress to keep the adoption of her infant son private for months -- especially when the paparazzi started swarming following allegations of marital discord.

Bullock, fresh from a laudatory awards season, managed to not only keep herself removed from the public eye, but to also shield her son, Louis, from the spotlight as well. It wasn't until People magazine revealed her adoption story Wednesday that anyone outside of Bullock's inner circle knew the big news.

"Sandra really relied on a network of very close friends and very close family members to keep her secret," explained People magazine's senior editor David Caplan. "The baby arrived during the height of the awards season [in January], and she even said that her trusted makeup artist was wondering why [she] needed so much concealer under her eyes, because she was tired."

In order to pull that off, Caplan said Bullock had to employ some CIA-style tactics to maintain her covert operation, using car decoys to take Louis to the doctor, and not letting anyone in her house.

"Regardless of whether or not she was seen with the baby, there wasn't even buzz about the fact that she had the baby," Caplan said. "It was her ability to a) hide [him] from visible sight, and b) the ability to keep this information private, because she had the baby before the scandal broke." (read more...)

EKC is happy for Sandra, and glad to be CNN's go-to girls for entertainment insights!

Dr. Leslie Talks About Cameron Douglas, Celebrity Dads & Sons in the Observer

Over the weekend, EKC client Dr. Leslie Seppinni was asked to comment on celebrity father-son relationships for a piece in the Observer about Cameron Douglas' recent sentencing. The UK weekly wanted to examine how the glare of the limelight can affect the dynamic between a father and son, often for the worst. See what Dr. Leslie had to say:
Cameron Douglas and the painful price paid by sons living in the shadow of a famous father

By Paul Harris

From David Bowie's son, who rejected his name, to Cameron Douglas, offspring of Michael Douglas, who was jailed for drug dealing last week, the children of stars clearly struggle to forge their own identity

Like any father witnessing the jailing of his son, Michael Douglas looked grim and ashen-faced last week in Manhattan.

Sitting in the courtroom in which his son, actor and DJ Cameron Douglas, was awaiting sentencing for dealing drugs, the Hollywood star listened to Judge Richard Berman pronouncing a harsh judgment. "Get beyond and get over that idea … that Cameron Douglas is a victim," Berman said.

Yet that was the argument that the Douglas clan – Michael, grandfather Kirk and Cameron's mother, Diandra – had put forward in letters explaining Douglas's problems in terms of his dysfunctional childhood. Cameron, it was claimed, was suffering the fallout from an age-old struggle: the battle of the son growing up with a powerful, successful, famous father. (read more...)

Dr. Leslie Addresses Jillian Michaels' Baby Weight Comments on FoxNews.com

"The Biggest Loser"'s Jillian Michaels recently raised eyebrows when she told Women's Health magazine that she does not want to have children because of the effects of pregnancy and childbirth on a woman's body.

Since Jillian's comments, several experts have been asked to weighed in on the issue, including EKC client Dr. Leslie Seppinni. An expert on body image and self-esteem, Dr. Leslie dished to FoxNews.com's Pop Tarts column on the truth about babies & bodies. Check out what she had to say:

There is no doubt that “The Biggest Loser” trainer Jillian Michaels has one of the best bodies in America, and given her childhood history of being overweight, it's something the 36-year-old has worked ultra-hard to achieve. So hard in fact, that she’s not willing to let it slide even to become a biological mother.

“I’m going to adopt. I can’t handle doing that to my body,” Michaels told the new issue of Women’s Health magazine. “Also, when you rescue something, it’s like rescuing a part of yourself.”

Michaels’ words surrounding pregnancy and her figure have been met with criticism from several experts (who have not worked with her) in the health industry.

“She is teaching people about body image and self-esteem. Women who have children all the time and get right back in shape particularly if they exercise,” Dr. Leslie Seppinni, a Los Angeles-based Family Therapist & Clinical Psychologist told Pop Tarts. “If this is how she truly feels, she should seek counsel before coaching others on issues of body image.” (read more...)

::HOT from Koch:: Monster Energy's No. 100 Prepares to Give 100 Percent at Seattle Supercross

Top motocross rider and two-time X Games champion Josh Hansen is poised to make a long-awaited comeback when he rides the Monster Energy AMA Seattle Supercross, April 24, at Qwest Field.

Following the tragic loss of two close friends, Hansen elected to put his career on hold in 2009, choosing only four AMA races to compete in for the year. Needless to say, fans were excited when it was announced in January that Mitch Payton had selected Josh to ride the West Region for Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki for the 2010 season. Acknowledged to be among the handful of riders with the ability to win a West Regional race, Josh is off to a top-ten start this season.

The son of champion rider Donnie Hansen, Josh rocked the motocross world when he took home the gold at X Games 14 in 2008 as the underdog. When he won again the following year, it became clear that Josh’s success was no fluke. The 26-year-old has since become regarded as the bad boy of motocross, boasting a smooth style inherited from his famous dad, and possessing a laidback attitude that hardly hints at the fact that he’s been racing professionally since high school.

Now, having spent the season break training harder than ever under Payton’s mentorship, Josh is expected to appear in top form at the Main Event in Seattle.

Josh Hansen Tears Up the Track With Transworld Motocross

While most SoCal residents were kicking back at Coachella this past weekend, Josh Hansen was busy practicing hard than ever. ::HOT from Koch:: Filmmaker Nick Palumbo & Acclaimed French Cinematographer Laurent Bares Team Up for $15M Motion Picture, "The Last Gas Station"

Controversial writer, director and producer Nick Palumbo and acclaimed French cinematographer, Laurent BarĂ©s, team up for the $15M neo-noir thriller feature motion picture, “THE LAST GAS STATION,” set for production in Summer 2010.

Renowned cult film director Palumbo is planning to push the envelope once again in a different genre. “The Last Gas Station” will be far removed from his past notorious work and is described by the filmmaker as “a nightmarish, hallucinogenic examination of one man’s insatiable greed and the destructive path that follows in his wake.”

Palumbo’s infamous pièce de rĂ©sistance, “Murder-Set-Pieces,” caused an unprecedented uproar when it premiered at the prestigious Sitges International Film Festival in Barcelona in 2004. The extremely disturbing, artfully produced feature showcased the filmmaker’s signature visionary style and distinctive aesthetic. The uncut version of “M-S-P” was released internationally by Paramount Pictures, The Weinstein Company, Universal Pictures and 20th Century Fox, and theatrically distributed in the U.S. by Blackwatch Releasing. Lionsgate Films released “M-S-P” in the U.S. in a heavily censored cut. Film authorities like Variety and The Hollywood Reporter were abuzz over the titanic controversy the picture caused worldwide; to this day, it is a felony to own the DVD in the U.K., Ireland and Norway.

Palumbo and producing partner Amber Horn joined forces and formed Hornick Films, LLC in the fall of 2009 to produce “The Last Gas Station.” Horn has worked in the casting department on notable motion pictures and television shows, including 20th Century Fox’s “The Comebacks;” Lionsgate’s “Employee of the Month;” Universal Pictures’ “Dead Silence;” MGM’s “Factory Girl;” The Weinstein’s “Bobby”; FX's Emmy-winning series “The Shield;” Bruckheimer’s “Close to Home” and “The E-Ring;” Silver’s “Moonlight;” and ABC Studios' “Legend of the Seeker.”

Hornick Films has enlisted dynamic French cinematographer Laurent BarĂ©s to shoot “The Last Gas Station.” BarĂ©s is best known for his exquisite and moody work in the recent 20th Century Fox blockbuster action thriller, “Hitman.” Previously, BarĂ©s served as the director of photography on the popular horror features, “Frontiere(s)” for Lionsgate Films and “Ă€ L'intĂ©rieur” for Canal Plus and The Weinstein Company. BarĂ©s has also lensed over 500 major commercial advertisement campaigns for dozens of international corporations.

Palumbo’s “The Last Gas Station” promises to be an intense, dark and lurid 35mm feature thriller slated for theatrical release in 2011. The film is currently in pre-production.

Laura Bryna Talks Spring Style on Urban Darling

EKC client, international country-pop recording artist Laura Bryna, discusses spring fashion on her latest entry as a featured guest blogger on Urban Darling --

Laura Bryna’s Spring wardrobe

More from darling Laura Bryna!

Ok, so with Spring here and Summer around the corner, I’ve been on a search for a really cute maxi dress. These dresses are so adorable, they come in fabulous colors, and they are lots of fun. They also follow the general rule: fitted up top, flowy on the bottom, or flowy on top, fitted on the bottom. But I have to say, when you have a size D cup, finding a dress like that, that you can wear with a bra, and, that hides your straps, is not easy. So I saw a commercial on TV for a product called Strap Perfect, and I’m telling you, THEY WORK! They come three to a package — black, clear, and nude. Great for all occasions. They are also fabulous underneath the very “in” sequin tanks, ethnic-inspired patterns from rompers to tanks, and definitely maxi dresses. They are totally hidden and make your boobs look like they are sitting high and mighty. They work for any size cup! It’s a great investment girlies! (read more...)

Eileen Dishes to The Observer About Gerard Butler!

Over the holiday weekend, The Observer --one of the world's oldest Sunday papers, based in the U.K.-- asked Eileen for her thoughts on the recent buzz surrounding Gerard Butler. They wanted to know why the Scottish bad boy has risen to fame so quickly, transforming from an obscure, middle-aged actor to one most sought-after men in Hollywood virtually overnight. Check out what Eileen had to say about Gerard:

The latest edition of Architectural Digest dropped through America's letter boxes last week. On its cover – barefoot, grinning and lounging in a comfy red armchair – was Hollywood's hottest leading man.

Yes, that would be Gerard Butler, the craggily handsome Scottish actor who has emerged from obscurity to star opposite the leading actresses of our time, and whose presence in Hollywood is now as ubiquitous as paparazzi and high heels.

Just how far Butler has come from his roots in Paisley was revealed by the magazine's glamorous shots of his New York loft and the gushing prose that accompanied the photographs. The spread of pictures revealed a massive apartment filled with pillars, limestone lion statues and crystal chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings.

Butler himself did not shy away from bragging about his surroundings, which were created by designer Elvis Restaino. "I wanted something elegant and gorgeous and at the same time rather masculine and raw," Butler said, before adding confusingly: "I guess I would describe the apartment as bohemian old-world rustic chateau with a taste of baroque."

Glasgow it is not. But then Butler has travelled a long way from his native land. He is currently the star of The Bounty Hunter, playing the role of romantic interest for Jennifer Aniston, perhaps the most bankable female star in Hollywood. Before that he was cast in The Ugly Truth, opposite Katherine Heigl, who is often touted as Aniston's successor. Butler movies seem to keep coming in an endless procession, including four alone in 2009. They are action films, romantic comedies, thrillers and even voice-overs in animated pictures.
