HOT From Koch :: Architect to the Stars David Applebaum Joins Cast of New Bravo Series "Launch My Line"

One of the biggest names in design has signed on to take part in the latest Bravo reality series Launch My Line. David Applebaum, who many know as the “Architect to the stars,” will be joining the cast this fall. David is responsible for some of the most opulent and innovative living spaces currently built. His impressive resume features the homes of Diane Keaton, Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, Rupert Murdoch and Cuba Gooding Jr. to name a few. David and the all-celebrity cast will take part in the show’s inaugural season; which is already hotly tipped to become the next Project Runway.

The concept for Bravo’s Launch My Line pits celebrity contestants against each other, testing their design abilities to determine who will win the grand prize of having their own fashion line launched! The show will be hosted by Dean and Dan Caten, the brilliant minds behind the DSQUARED2 fashion line. These twin brothers, who also host their own Sirius radio show, will bring their unique sense of style and personality to already star-studded show. Each contestant will be paired with top names from the world of fashion; they’ll guide and provide feedback for each celebrity apprentice throughout the season.

David’s experience in design truly sets him apart from his contemporaries. His work has been featured in Architectural Digest, In Style Magazine, Home and Garden as well as The Los Angeles Times. In addition to many celebrity homes, David has also designed some of the most impressive commercial and corporate spaces for Virgin Records, Quincy Jones and the amazing Esprit flagship store.

David’s decisive creative vision, attention to detail, and brilliant eye for design make him an early favorite and give him the edge to take home the top prize. Based on the buzz, Launch My Line is already destined to become the “it show” of the fall, and a new favorite for “Runway” fans. Launch My Line should make easy work of filling the large shoes Project Runway leaves behind on Bravo, it already sounds like it’s going to be the most fun of the new fall lineup!
