After making a personal decision last year to put his career on hold following the tragic loss of two close friends, Hansen announces his intention to step back into the professional arena with even more determination to defend his reigning title at this year’s Summer X Games in Los Angeles.In January of this year, Hansen was selected by Mitch Payton to ride the West Region for Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki for the 2010 season. With inimitable drive and natural talent – inheriting the smooth riding style from his father, Donnie Hansen, former world supercross champion – Hansen’s professional campaign has placed him amongst the very best of the sport. Since stepping into the limelight of professional motocross at the age of 17, Hansen’s career has exploded, receiving top honors in the AMA Lites Class, Full Factory Ride sponsorships and back-to-back X Games victories in 2008 and 2009.
With Monster Energy and Pro Circuit Racing as sponsors and Kawasaki Motor Corp. as one of his biggest supporters, Hansen will proudly ride “green” this 2010 season as he is determined to make this his comeback year.
