Season Two of New TV Sitcom "Jones: The Series" Scheduled to Premiere This Fall
LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 27, 2011) - The upcoming TV sitcom, "Jones: The Series" (www.jonestheseries.com) follows main character, "Jones" and his friends as they face the trials and tribulations of post-grad life. Mindy Bouman, writer and producer of the series, masterfully incorporates situational comedy and irony into the series to show that it's the little things in life that truly matter. The eclectic group of friends captured viewers with their wit in season one, which aired Saturday nights on the local channels CBS 21 and CW 15. Jones and his buddies are now back for season two and are ready to take on anything that life has to throw at them. EKC hopes to bring "Jones: The Series" to local and national channels in September.
In season one, Bouman enthralls viewers with the brief twenty-five minute episodes based on adventures common to the young adult crowd. Jones and his crew recap their series of unfortunate events with humor and animation, which makes the audience feel like they are part of the gang. Between biking accidents, trying to find the perfect woman to date, exploring the animal kingdom of albino ferrets, and sleeping with man-eating snakes, "Jones: The Series" leaves audiences wanting more of their simple, yet wildly entertaining lives. Season one culminates with a priceless finale, in which Jones wins the lottery only to have his hopes, dreams, and new convertible smashed by a semi-truck.
The main character of the sitcom, using his real-life name Jones (just one word like Madonna or Cher) is a graduate of Penn State University, and studied acting in New York conservatories. The cast includes, Jones; Ryan Lewis, the quiet yet charming musician; Ryan's trusty drummer and backup singer Josh Pappas; Ray Abboud, a local real estate investor; Abigail Helf, an aspiring actress and model; Matt Hoover, the show's tech genius; and Matthew Sutton, current Penn State student. The chemistry is undeniable.
Stay tuned this fall to see what Jones and his friends will bring for season two! If you didn't catch season one, full episodes are available online at www.jonestheseries.com.
