EKC's Derek O'Neill's Big Heart Featured In Variety Ireland

Variety at Work

A Big Thank You to Derek O'Neill
International Humanitarian and Philanthropist

Derek became involved in Variety, The Children's Charity a number of years ago when he met the Late Kevin Wall (Chief Barker at the time) who brought him to see a swing, called the Variety Liberty Swing. This allows wheelchair-bound children and young adults to access a swing without having to lifted from their chair - the wheelchair is rolled onto the swing, secured and the fun begins.

Derek O'Neill works tirelessly through his work with the SQ Foundation and has donated millions to various charities around the world, quietly, anonymously and without ever asking for anything in return.

We are proud and honoured that Derek has chosen Variety as one of his charities of choice and has taken the Liberty Swing Project and in Kevin's memory he has taken on a personal promise to have one of these swings placed in every county in Ireland.

Derek has committed to donating two swings every year for ten years and to date has dotted four around the country.

Thank you Derek O'Neill and SQ Worldwide for your support and commitment to the Liberty Swing Project.
