Softline's Jason Carr to Discuss Textile Business Relations with China During the Breakfast at Showtime Panel

On Monday, December 7, 2009, Jason Carr, co-Founder of Softline Home Fashions -- the leading importer and distributor of ready-made fabrics, curtains and decorative pillows -- will have a great deal to say during the Breakfast at Showtime discussion panel titled, “Life After China.” The engaging event will serve as a platform to discuss and explore the western business equation in relation to China and the ever-changing, ever-expanding role the country plays in the textile industry.

Hosted by Fabrics & Furnishings International and ITMA, and moderated by publisher of Fabrics & Furnishings International, Eric Schneider, the diverse panel of highly distinguished experts in the textile industry, including Carr, will provide perspectives ranging from all aspects of business, including those in the executive, sales and marketing, and merchandising levels. Discussion topics will probe the following questions:

• What are the advantages and difficulties of doing business in China?
• How does the current economic landscape affect business?
• How long will China be the main source for fabrication and manufacturing?
• What innovations can we use to improve the textile industry?

Having been a part of the fabric and furnishings industry for some time, Carr is as willing as he is enthusiastic about sharing his thoughts and experiences in the industry. His vast knowledge into the inner workings of the textile business will provide valuable insight on the panel. His business, Softline Home Fashions, which he co-founded with his brother, Rodney Carr, presents the finest fabrics in unique, fresh, detailed patterns gathered from all over the globe. To ensure unparalleled eclectic choice, Softline frequently updates their selections, and envisions fabrics and designs that accommodate to their environmentally conscious clientele. The company recently introduced an innovative new line of environmentally conscious fabrics and ready-made curtain panels and pillows, aptly named Evidence of Evolution (EOE).
